James E. Schwartz, a member of the firm, concentrates his practice in the area of commercial litigation, with an emphasis on real-estate related disputes.

His clients include real estate brokerage firms, institutional and private landlords and real estate management concerns, condominium and cooperative associations, title insurance underwriters and high net worth individuals. Mr. Schwartz has vast experience successfully litigating complex commercial matters at both the trial and appellate levels.

Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Schwartz was for many years a member of the law firm Carb Luria Cook & Kufeld LLP in Manhattan.

Mr. Schwartz received a Juris Doctor degree from the Duke University Law School (1981) and a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania (1978).

Mr. Schwartz is admitted to practice before the courts of the State of New York, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
